TPT’s Power 2U Range of Product.

Power Consumption: - One of the main criteria of running a data centre is to understand 
the power consumption equation. This does not mean just the PDU output value. 
You have to compare the consumption to the output to find out how efficiently the servers 
are running and when they consume power resources. Investment in monitoring power 
strips can provide commissioning and power usage statistics over time. The basic TPT 
monitoring PDU and associated software are capable of providing this information. 
TPT’s measurement solution samples the mains supply over 4000 times a second to 
provide true RMS Voltage, Current and KWHr to Class II accuracy. (Power KWHr direct 
reading +/- 2% (KWHr to BSEN 61036:1997) Class II Cumulative reading).

Also additional readings include Peek Current, Peek Voltage, Apparent Power, and 
Harmonic Active Power.  All Calculations are made using a True Power Factor reading, 
(Not an Assumed Power Factor); The Power Factor reading is key as this provides the 
accuracy for the Kilowatt readings and is dependent on the type of equipment drawing 
power.  These readings can be displayed on a local LCD Display as part of the PDU, 
and also as remote measurements using either TPT’s PDU Agent Software (Small / 
Medium Enterprise), or TPT SNMP Modular Controller (See SNMP Controller).
